As usual a stunning array of imaginative straw creations will be decorating the lanes of Lapworth during this year’s popular family event.

The festival is being run jointly by Lapworth’s Pre-School and Primary School and raises money for both organisations, along with a number of other local good causes. Previous year’s fund raising has topped the £3,000 mark and this year is on track to be just as successful with more scarecrows than ever before.

The event is being sponsored by Hunters estate agents, with support from a number of other local businesses and promises to be a fantastic all-weather, family weekend with something for everyone.

Festival visitors can purchase a route map showing the location of the scarecrows and will be invited to vote for their favourites in categories including: Most Spectacular, Funniest, Most Imaginative and Children’s Choice.

In addition to the scarecrows, other attractions over the weekend include a number of live local bands, a licensed bar, barbecue, silent auction and a variety of stalls and sideshows.
